A Little Bit About Us
Our journey began with two Master Electricians and a belief that work doesn’t have to suck. Even if your work is inherently challenging, the culture in which the work is done tends to be the catalyst for the overall feeling that “this isn’t fun.” The way we see it; if we have to spend the majority of our time working, why not do everything we can to make work enjoyable as well as productive? We found that much of what make’s work “suck” is internal. Negative attitudes or perspectives can infect your mind and spread to your team. When we don’t prioritize positive attitudes and a good esprit de corps within the culture of our company we run the risk of dreading the one place where we spend most of our time… work.
We believe that attitudes and perspectives about work and life can be shaped by conversations with our contemporaries. Sometimes all we need is to hear an idea that we’ve never considered before in order to change our trajectory. If we open ourselves up to learn from those around us, we can avoid the pitfalls that lead to hating your work environment. So, we felt the best way to spread the message of loving what you do is to start a podcast. Our show gives tradespeople across the world a platform to share their thoughts, ideas and passions for their work and life. By sharing stories of passion and adversity overcome in pursuit of a dream, we hope to help inspire the next generation of tradespeople to approach their work with excitement.
Lets Talk Numbers
Since we started our show in the early part of 2020, we have had over 100,000 total listens to the show. Our demographic is young tradespeople interested in being the best version of themselves that they can be. We focus on the concept of personal growth and development, not just as tradespeople but also as husbands, wives, partners, parents and all around human beings. We hope to grow slowly in order to attract the right demographic for our show.
Our YouTube Channel currently has over 1300 subscribers. We use this channel to share podcast episodes and clips and share live videos from our work in the field, whether they be tutorials, walk-throughs or comical videos.

Doug has a way of really coming off natural on the mic and allows his guests to open up, which allows for real human emotions. I just found him and listened to his podcasts for hours while on a long drive. Def give this guy a listen!

He's in my hometown Frederick, MD! I'm currently an electrician here in San Diego and it's awesome to see what he's doing.

I just want to thank Doug for his awesome content on electricians. Not only that but just good life advice. I myself am 24 and figuring out what I want to do in life. Doug really preached in episode 11 on not letting other people tell you not to do something your passionate about (even if there is not a lot of money in it). This message helped me focus on what I like to do and can enjoy day to day. Another awesome point Doug made was that it may take a few jobs to figure out what you are passionate about and this is so true. I'm going through my first job right now and don't see a long term future in this business, nor am I passionate about it. So I'm open to new jobs and vocations. Obviously being an electrician is one I am interested in along with some of the other trades. But for anyone wanting to learn a thing about this trade, then this podcast is awesome!

Great tradesperson but he's also ridiculously funny. This podcast is a great extension of his long running YouTube and Instagram TV offerings and is well worth the subscription!
