We say it a lot on this program, and we mean it… no matter who you are or how long you’ve been doing something, you’re going to make mistakes. So, we created this page to tell you our stories of struggle and overcoming challenges. At Lumen Brothers Electric, any time we lose money due to a mistake, oversight, etc. we call it “Tuition.” Why? Well, the way we see it, most people pay lots of money to get an education while those of us in the trades don’t get saddled with that debt. However, the mistakes we make while working cost us revenue and we rationalize this process by considering these instances as tuition payment to the school of hard knocks.
