The Modern Electrician Podcast focuses on the concept of Soft Skills in an industry where Hard Skills have gathered much of the focus for years. And for good reason! Hard skills are important! But, we here at the MEP believe that Soft Skills, such as perseverance, creativity, reliability, toughness, empathy and confidence (just to name a few) are just as vital to producing well-rounded, kind and easy-to-be-around tradespeople.
We also believe that every tradesperson has a story to tell… and we want to hear yours! Here at our show, we interview tradespeople, entrepreneurs, artists and other passionate folks to get to the bottom of why and how they do what they do. The show’s 2 hosts Doug and Josh, also discuss topics such as: lessons learned from each week in the field, processes they’re narrowing down, and their own passion for the trade. Doug and Josh are co-owners of Lumen Brothers Electric Company, a very small, family-owned electrical service company based out of their beautiful hometown of Frederick, MD.
